Once they're on the planet, warp back and wipe their fleet. The resulting fleet-strength disparity should make them total surrender. Fanatic Purifiers can actually do diplomacy with their own species, so you COULD get vassals like that. You only need to be roughly 1.5 the strength of any individual empire.
