When I was a kid I got super lucky. A pink tail dropped the first time I ever faced the pink slimes. Got the Adamant armor; and Cecil was invincible forever more. Never got it to happen naturally again. Even cheating using speed ups and rewinds with an emulator…never happened. Sad life.
